Oil and Gas
New in Doha
In association with Petrolink, we offer training for control room operators and technicians in a variety of process and utility systems through the use of a generic process simulator.
The Generic Process Simulator enables students to understand and operate all the main process systems and units found in the upstream hydrocarbon industry. Process models in the simulator can allow the student to start the plant from shut-down condition, bring it up to full production in a controlled way and train on a variety of realistic process operations.
Participants gain experience in operating Process Facilities and Process Control & Safety Systems through “hands-on” simulator based training. By combining theoretical and practical training in a simulator environment, the participants will develop their understanding and skills to enhance job performance.
The main process simulation is based on digitally modelled representations of the behaviour of generic oil and gas production process equipment, sensors and logic system. These reside in the instructor station that interfaces with the training participants by means of a generic Distributed Control System (DCS) running on the participants’ operator stations.
There are 3 courses each lasting 4 days:
• Introduction training for operating personnel
• Basic training for control room operators
• Advanced training for control room operators
