Qatar Skills Academy provides a new professional development course for Teaching Assistants”
A new professional development course for Teaching Assistants started on Wednesday 19th October at Qatar Skills Academy. “Teaching Assistants are often the ‘un-sung heroes’ of the classroom” tutor Melanie Alderton explained. “But the high uptake of this course proves that schools really value the difference Classroom Assistants can make to teaching and learning.” Staff from Doha English Speaking School, Qatar International School, Doha British School, Park House and Sherborne School are attending the BTEC accredited course. Qatar Skills Academy Director Ian White said, “This is the first time an accredited course for teaching assistants has been launched in Qatar and we are hoping to make it available to all the international and Qatari Independent schools in the area.”
